During the rainy season, take your vehicle into the first arroyo north of Los Barriles where you will be able to see some unexpected scenery.
The mountainsides become very steep and covered in lush,green vegetation. As the arroyo narrows, you will run into the waterfall.
Once there, enjoy swimming at the foot of the waterfall or take to the sky and fly across the water on a zip line, which must be booked prior to the tour. Pack a lunch, and turn this into a wonderful family outing.
Enjoy a scenic ride as you wind through the arroyo on your way to San Bartolo. Have the opportunity to tour Jimmy’s uncle’s mango plantation, where you can pick mangos, or citrus when in season, straight from the trees to eat now or to bring home for later.
Then, climb, in your vehicle, from the bottom of the desert oasis up to the highway, which will take you right into San Bartolo.
While there, stop at a few of the local shops that produce a variety of fresh-made mango products, as well as cooks excellent, classic Mexican foods.
This trip is a great opportunity to learn about some of the older Mexican traditions, as well as experience some great food and beautiful views.
Drive along the beautiful beachside road as you make your way out to a snorkeling hideaway.
While there, you can relax on the beach, bring your own snorkel, or rent one from us to snorkel along the reef and view a wide variety of fish species. After enjoying your stay at the beach, stop by the Punta Pescadero Paradise Hotel to eat lunch or grab a drink from the bar, where you can relax as you view the Sea of Cortez.
